If your dog pulls toward every beachgoer on the boardwalk, ignores your recall when a shorebird takes off, or jumps on guests at your vacation rental, you already know how much Gulf Place’s coastal environment can test a dog’s training. Off Leash K9 Training 30A serves dog owners across Gulf Place and the Scenic 30A corridor with structured programs designed to improve obedience, communication, and control around real-world distractions. Available programs offer different levels of on-leash or off-leash training according to the selected package.

If you are not completely satisfied after the first lesson, that lesson is free.

Board & Train graduates receive ongoing support, including free one-hour in-person refresher sessions when needed.

Train with a professional team led by owner and lead trainer Ciarra Elle, alongside experienced trainers Monica Green, Jennifer “Jen” Baier, Allie, and Logan.

Part of a national network with more than 130 locations providing proven dog training programs.
Board & Train programs last two or three weeks. Dogs board with a professional trainer and follow the curriculum of the selected package.
The two- and three-week programs include a two-hour owner instruction session. Board & Train graduates also receive lifetime refresher support. Complete fixes for major dog or human aggression cannot be guaranteed.
Private lessons allow owners to participate directly in the training process and practice the system between scheduled sessions.
Progress depends on the dog, the selected program, and the owner’s consistency between sessions.
Dog Aggression & Reactivity Training: This nine-lesson program is designed for dogs displaying aggression or reactivity around other dogs. It combines the Basic Obedience curriculum with additional lessons around dogs in different scenarios to improve control, handling, and management. Complete fixes for major dog or human aggression cannot be guaranteed.
Basic Marker Mastery™: This four-session reward-based program introduces Come, Sit, Place, slip-lead handling, and loose-leash walking. A clicker, slip lead, and 15-foot leash are included. The program does not use an e-collar or prong collar, although dangerous or unwanted behavior may still be addressed when necessary.
Puppy Training: The Puppy Training Consultation is designed for puppies under five months old and covers early socialization, crate training, home manners, house-training questions, and preparation for future obedience work. An Online Puppy Training Course with 24 video modules, eight worksheets, and approximately three hours of training content is also available.
Therapy Dog Preparation: This eight-lesson program prepares dogs and owners for therapy dog testing and certification. After successful completion, eligible teams may be evaluated and certified through Therapy Pets Unlimited. Therapy dogs are not the same as service dogs, and completing the program does not provide service-dog status or public-access rights.
Gulf Place sits along Walton County’s Scenic 30A corridor, where outdoor shopping, dining, bicycles, visitors, wildlife, and other dogs can create additional distractions. Depending on the selected program, training may include work around mid- or high-level distractions in appropriate parks, neighborhoods, stores, trails, and other public environments.

Discuss your dog’s age, behavior, challenges, and goals. Compare available training options, including lessons, Marker Mastery™, and Board & Train.
